All while making a meaningful impact!
As a nurse in the Netherlands, you can expect an attractive salary. It is based on a clear, transparent scale established in the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement, ensuring you are paid fairly for your experience and role. Average fulltime monthly salaries start at approximately €2,750 and will increase every year. Working weekends and evenings pays extra (up to 60%).
You’ll typically work 32 hours per week, which strikes a balance between professional and personal life.
If you work during irregular hours, such as evenings, nights, or weekends, you will receive extra allowances. These shift differentials recognize the flexibility and dedication required to work outside of standard office hours. (122%, 144%, 160%)
In addition to your salary, you will receive 8% holiday pay in May and a year-end bonus (also known as a 13th month) in December. Both are annually and add approximately an extra month’s salary to your annual earnings.
You will receive 20 vacation days per year with a 32 hours per week contract. This gives you plenty of time to explore the beauty of the Netherlands or Europe. Or to visit your family and friends back home.
